Today I took the long route home from the university. There is something mystical in these early spring days... The orange glow of the streetlights splahed across the wet asphalt of the hillside streets, the feeling of one's shoes soggy with lukewarm water and the soft patter of raindrops reminded me of bygone days...
I have seen few such places in the world with such otherworldly feel, and yet so human, so well merged with the soul of the city as these hillsides. There was one person who seemed to understand my silent thoughts and visions of beauty while accompanying me on such spring nights years ago...
Even though everything we seemed to have in common turned out to be a lie, I still haven't found anyone with whom I could share my feelings to such extent, and who was truly willing to share with me.
However, this spring rain didn't smell of loss, but of hope and new beginnings.
