Amy's Thoughts.
Warning: This is a sad, woe-is-me, whinefest. Please take that into account, and please don't read unless you'd want to know more about me, than you did before.
Ok, so...

After I finish all my oh-so fun tests, I have an appointment to meet with a doctor. Not my regular doctor, mind you. It was some lankly tall looking fellow with a beard that I've never met before. He was pleasent enough, but I sometimes get flustered around new people, and I am NOT fond of hospitals or anything related to them, combined with the fact, that my reg felt it necessary to schedule an appointment with this fellow immediately, I was... a little bit on edge that day.

Right. So I come to find out this fellow is a surgeon. He tells me, that they really don't know what's wrong with me, but it's more likely than not based on some of the relatively inconclusive tests, and the description of my symptoms, my gall bladder.

Anywho, this fellow says nothing in the ways of heavy lifting for the next few months, so by by goes the job. Due to the fellow's urging to schedule the surgery within the week, I had to quit without giving a two weeks notice, which they where rather mean about at my place of work, but them's the breaks I guess.

Anywho, I went to the hospital the day of wearing stretchy pajama pants, and a t-shirt. I waited in the reception room for about two minutes, and I was just shaking like a leaf. They finally brought me back to a little room, where I dis-robed and put on one of those blue paper-plastic hospital gowns, witha matching little hat, and little booties.

Needless to say I kinda looked like a dork.

Anywho, layed down on the hospital bed, I was shaking so hard, and I was neverous I thought I was going to be ill. They put a little patch behind my ear, that was suppose to calm me down. It looked kinda like one of those little tobacco patches, kinda. A nurse came in a few moments later, and but in a double-IV lead. (It sucks when you can indentify 'em like that) Basically, one needle in my arm, that splits off into two ends, one of which ran saline, the other was an empty lead for the purposes of injecting things into.

Anywho, they injected something into the lead, and waited for a few minutes. This basically buzzed me out a little, kinda like the feeling, like you've had a few beers, just warm, and mellow. I was still more than a little scared when they wheeled me into the opperating room. I remember the anasteol... guy who knocks you out... said something along the lines of "here's your second martini" right before he put something blue into the lead. I felt a little dizzy, then was out like a brick.

When I kinda sorta woke up, I was twilighting, namely when you're awake but not really, I remember throwing up into a bed pan a few times, but they injected me with something again, and I was out once again. What I'm told was about 20 minutes later, I awoke, slowly, groggily, and feeling as though I've just been shanked. I was fully dressed somehow, Don't remember doing that, so someone else probably did for me. After a dozen or so minutes of waking up, and getting us to the feeling in my stomach, I was on a wheel chair, headed tword a car, that a friend of mine was going to drive me home, with.

...and I think I'll stop for there, and I'll cover the recovery for my next update.
