what homework?
sometimes.. I just feel like venting at the end of the day. Besides.. I get gold for a journal, yup!! =3
Do You Know What Really Grinds My Gears??
lol, yes, I actually used that for a title. But seriously, this has happened to me several times.. and Im getting tired of it.

One of my younger brothers has a developmental disability, Austism to be more precise, and sometimes he does things, that if any 'normal' child had done the same thing.. it would just not be acceptable.

Today, my brother wandered away from school and the local plice had to be called. This has happened several times before, so its not like my mom has never experienced it before.. But this time, the police apparently told her off for "not teaching her son to stay on school grounds" when he is supposed to. Really? That is ridiculous!
Just because my brother looks normal, doesn't mean he can act normal.

Now, please don't misunderstand me. Im not saying that my brother needs special treament because he has Autsim.. but at the same time, I guess I am.. Austim is something that is out of my family's control. We can't teach him to not wander off... believe me, if we could have, we already would have. This is the second time the police have made my mom cry because they questioned her parenting skills over my brother's actions. Yes, what he does sometimes is dangerous, and he should know not to do that, but still... don't yell at my mother because you don't understand what she goes through for her son.

If I had my way, those guys could spend a week or two in my mom's shoes and see what she goes through everyday for my brother. As the oldest kid .. I have seen what she goes through.. and experienced some of it as well, and it's no picnic.

*sigh*

Im sorry for the impromptu rant.. but I doubt anyone will read this.. lol

This is the last week before spring break.. and I can't wait to get home. whee

'night!

cry Man, that stinks. Is he okay? I know that if I had to be in your mom's place, I would have to be carted away to the assylum...we don't want to go back there, now do we, precious...

Yea, Aaron is just fine... he left the house because he wanted to go to the "Flower Hotel".. (lol, the Omni is Austin.. sweatdrop )

But, apparently, the police have had to respond to too many calls about Aaron wandering off.. so they are filing a report to CPS... stare

Please, give me 5 minutes alone with the turd-face that files that report.. and we will see WHO needs protective services... twisted

Is your brother homeschooled?

My own little brother developed Tourette's, and had a terrible time with his local school when it first happened. The worst part about it was the fact nobody knew it was Tourette's syndrome at first. It wasn't like a "normal" case, I suppose. He would just all of sudden just start screaming at the top of his lungs for extended periods of time. It got to a point that CPS became involved, and my little brother was afraid to go to school. He thought they might take him away from us while he was there at school. Ironically, that made his Tourette's even worse.

Eventually, my parents found a doctor in Houston that knew what was happening to my little brother. And with a correct diagnosis things seem to eventually get better. He's still enrolled at the school, but he does his schoolwork from home now.

I just wanted to say I know how you feel somewhat. I'd still like to get my hands on whoever filed a report to the CPS.

Anyway, sorry for popping in your journal all uninvited and leaving long comments. sweatdrop I hope everything works out for your own family though.
