Rhia stood behind Rister, both hands braced on his back, trying to push him into the senate chambers. There was a small meeting that the Supreme Chancellor had scheduled with the Naboo Delegation. Queen Kalyntha and her royal guard was present.
C'mon Rister, just go through the door, bow, then take a seat. Rhia said through gritted teeth, both her feet planted on the floor, putting all her weight onto Rister's back, but Rister stood firm. Finally he took a step forward and Rhia almost fell onto her face.
Good evening, Your Highness. Rister said, and Rhia gave a sigh of relief. She had half expected him to choke over his words. She walked over and bowed, taking a seat next to Rister.
Now, to matters. I have called this meeting to ask of you a rather important question. As you know, Naboo is protected by laws stating that citizens cannot be tested for force abilities. I have had many senators come to me asking me to lift this law. I would like to know your opinion on the matter your highness. The chancellor spoke, and Rhia was rather confused at what he said. Why would the senators be interested in Jedi from Naboo?
I am sorry chancellor, but that is not my field, that kind of motion lies with my senator. I must express my concern, however, the citizens of Naboo will not be happy knowing that their children could be tested and taken away from them! The queen's voice was firm, expressing her every emotion at this movement.
Thank you your highness. I apologize for calling you to our capitol. Rhia stood as the queen stood, like everyone else in the room. She straightened as the queen turned toward her.
Senator, I do not think it is a good idea to allow probing. Do what you can to prevent it.
I understand Your Highness. I will speak to the senate.
Rhia turned to Rister, who was visibly shaking. They both watched the queen, and the rest of the delegation exit.
Never again!
Oh poor Rister, or should I call you Rissy now?
Don't ever call me that! Rhia laughed as she made for the exit.
Poor, poor Rissy. She reached up and grabbed his cheek. He was turning a shade of scarlet Rhia didn't even know existed.
