I'm worried that I"m not holdong our gerbil, Grant, enough. I want to but I"m afraid he'll n** me. he's done it before, not out of meanness. And it doesn't hurt. But it surprises me and I"m afraid one day I"ll drop him or hurt him. Then again I don't want him to become mean by me not holding him. Any advice from people out there who've owned gerbils?
I'm taking him home for the thanksgiving day break. I havn't had my own pet since I was 8. At least not a small pet like this. we just cleaned his cage so he should be fine over the break. I'm glad that she didn't offer to take him home. he might never come back.
