A very quick entry
Tonight, this night, is the first time I have been able to see in a sky so dark and clear of could, mist, or fog, the Little Dipper, and so well.
I live close to Seattle, the real capital of Washington (who talks about Olympia, anyway?) and the sky is so rarely so clear that you can point out out the 3 brightest stars and, within that what I assume to be, the North Star, for it was bright yellow, and the other 2 were blue.
It's just shocking to me, to look up while taking the dog out and realize that amoung the brilliant bright lights I can make out a familliar pattern and that it is the first time in my 19 years of life I've ever actually seen it.
I don't know whether or not I ought to be disturbed or not, but I do feel happy about it. Perhaps refreshed even. I kind of feel like singing again :3

Well, enough of that, I've more to comment on than astrological alignments.
Tonight of Desperate Housewives (I watch the show, sue me xp ) I've found that Teri's character (I can never remember her name) annoys me too much for me to have a lot of respect for her. She's just too much of a romantic flake for me. Sure, it's ok to fantasize about things coming together so smoothly and nicely, but to think it might actually happen and planning on it is just too naive and juvenile to me. I am, on the other hand, extremely fond of Brie now. At least I know she's really not some psycho robotic Stepford Wife. She has a brain, a will of her own, and a shot gun, and she knows exactly when, where, and how to use each of them. Much respect for that cool

I've also watched Kung Fu Hustle, and I must admit it had some pretty damn funny parts. It's not a comedy, and anyone expecting an actual comedy will be, not disapointed, but surprised, as it is a good film (the plot's really F'ed up imo) and worth a look.
I'm still not entirely sure what the point/plot was... every weird little thing adding up to the revealing of an ultimate martial artist is honestly, a bit out there for me, but it's only my opinion.

Also watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: it's great. I see no reason to complain except that none of it scared me. That's right, I said that Tim Burton's version of Charlie did not frighten or spook me at all. The original frightened me more than that. Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka was more intense because of how short he was with everyone, with Tim's version and Depp playing him, he's more of a chirpy, chippy, 'meh, whatever, you're weird - Ok, this way now! :3 ' kinda guy.
Besides, what's more frightening than seeing a beloved chocolatier yell at a sweet old man? I think the real reason that people who have actual seen Tim's version think that the new one is scarier than the old one is because of a very few things (I'll admit Wonka's entrace freaked me out a little) and the fact that in the old one Gene/Wonka is singing a very nice song.
I like both films, but the differences between them make me want to go out and read the book.
I've read the 2nd book (yeah, there's a sequeal) in 5th grade with my class, and all I really remember about it is that Charlie's family had moved into the factory, I think they drank something, and something freaky happened to them, but what it was I don't remember. sweatdrop
 Maybe I should go read the 2nd book (again) too...

Tomorrow, I'll be seeing Goblet of Fire with my mother (Yea! whee ) and when I get back I'll write my review up for it. :3
Time for me to scoot to bed... or I'll get yelled at! gonk
