Uh huh, this is mine
This is something that's been bothering me for a while. Why is it that when words like "breeder", "greyhound racer", "horse racer", or something of a similar nature are used, the words must carry a negative undertone? Do you naysayers know any people in these industries or all practices used to automatically condemn the entire thing? I'm not going to sugarcoat it or lie and say that everyone in these industries is a basket of sunshine and unicorns (no matter what, someone is ALWAYS going to be a bad apple in a barrel), but it's not fair to say that everyone is a money grubbing animal abusing douche either. Believe it or not, there are people out there with honest love for the animals they breed or care for.
I also find it funny that these same people will look at animal "rescues" and "anti-cruelty" lobbyists and all they will see is a bunch of saints. Some of them are hoarders, egotistical self-righteous pricks, and animal abusers in their own right, who will happily give you a chance to "save" an animal they've kept in flea ridden horrifying conditions for months, "save" animals who were in perfectly fine homes due to little loophole laws, or shove an "animal friendly" bill in your face that turns out to be anything but. So before you are quick to condemn or congratulate someone, remember that there is very little black and white within our world and that it always helps to take a peek into the gray
