Kittiara stared out her bedroom window wistfully. She dreamed of being a Vorai, the magical faeries of legend that used their powers to fight evil and keep the Universe safe. She dreamed of having beautiful, golden wings that shimmered like the sun. The only problem she had was...the last time any Vorai were seen was 4000 years ago and one other thing that she could never forget too easily was that she was an orphan. Orphans in this Universe were outcasts, made to work for the Emerpors of the many worlds like slaves. It would go against all traditions for God to choose someone of her stature to become a Vorai. You see, thousands of years ago, the Ancients lived alongside God and shared power with him, but the Ancients grew greedy and began to think of themselves as almighty rulers instead of their creator, God. They fought a great war with him for power but God only had to snap his fingers and they lost. In being merciful, he took away their eternal life and made them live in a place far lower than Heaven, the Universe. The Ancients spread out across the many worlds. One Ancient, Lucifer, was so evil that even in the Universe he thirsted for power. He tortured those he captured and drank their blood. His skin turned black and his eyes turned red. He grew demonic wings. He began creating others like him called the Lai'zak. Once he created an entire world of them he set out to destroy and control enitre worlds. God created the Vorai to protect and bring peace back to the Universe. But, 4000 years ago, Lucifer, the Lai'zak, and the Vorai disappeared.
