Grocery Stores: Keeping Life Interesting Since 1772

So today one of my best friends and I decided we needed rice crispy treats. And since my mother has gone on a diet and banned all sweets from the house, we had to run to the grocery store for rice crispies and marshmallows. My mother then amended my grocery list and asked us to pick up tortillas while we were out.

So we got to the store and found the rice crispies right away, in the ceral aisle, right where they belong. I turned my friend Will and then asked him where he thought marshmallows would be. He said the freezer. I proceeded to give him an odd look. He smiled and told me about how he puts his marshmallows in the freezer so that they last longer. I continued to give him an odd look and told him that he was the only person I knew who did such a thing.

We ended up finding the marshmallows in the candy aisle, which made a lot of sense.

Finally, we began to search the store for tortillas. Again, I decided to try my luck and ask Will if he had any idea. He suggested the bread aisle, because "tortiallas are made of wheat." Will recieved yet another odd look from me as I then informed him that tortillas are made from corn. He returned my look with an odd look of his own. I found a bag of tortialla chips and showed him that the first ingredient listed on the bag is in fact white corn. However, the tortillas were not with the tortialla chips. Nor were they with the bread, further proving my point to Will. However, tortillas did not seem to be anywhere in the store.

So we asked someone who worked there. He then proceeded to lead us to the bread aisle. We sighed and looked again, in case we missed it. Moments later, the not-so-helpful worker came and got us and told us that he had been informed of the whereabouts of some tortillas. With the dairy. I merely turned to him and asked "why?" He shrugged and led us to the refrigerated items. Sure enough, there between the milk and the cheese was a small selection of tortillas.
