Revenge [ri-venj] –verb (used with object) 1.to exact punishment or expiation for a wrong on behalf of, esp. in a resentful or vindictive spirit: He revenged his murdered brother. 2.to take vengeance for; inflict punishment for; avenge: He revenged his brother's murder. –verb (used without object) 3.to take revenge.–noun 4.the act of revenging; retaliation for injuries or wrongs; vengeance.5.something done in vengeance.6.the desire to revenge; vindictiveness.7.an opportunity to retaliate or gain satisfaction.
Revenge. The act of getting back at someone who had wronged them in the past. In circumstances where you must face serious consequences, circumstances and such, why go through with it? A good example, Sasuke. The guy from Naruto, who wants to kill his brother because his brother killed the rest of his clan and family. If he does so, how does that make him any different from his brother in any way? His family, dead. Again. One more life lost. That goes with reality too. What good will it do,, to hunt down and cause serious mischeif to someone else who has wronged you? If the target is someone who has been robbing banks, breaking in, or killing, then revenge is minamaly understood. Using it for little games can be okay to a certain extent, though i find that the idea of revenge is stupid, and somewhat selfish. To take someone away from the ones who loved that person, for your own reasons that aren't very signifigant in the first place. [dude, if sasuke read this, and he was real and stuff, he'd kill me XD]My view of it can in fact be different than others, and most likley is. My definition of revenge, Revenge [ri-venj] –verb (used with object)
1. To "right" someone who who has wronged you in the past selfishly.
