Seen, not heard.
A pretty photo,
A lovely face…
What would I know,
Wrapped in linen and lace?
So young,
With so many years ahead.
Like a song unsung,
And a story unsaid.
The future will hold
Challenges of every kind.
They want to mold,
To conform my mind.
They tell me lies
That fill my head.
It’s a surprise
If I don’t end up dead.
