So often now do people shield themselves from others. They do this with lies. Lies are nothing but a person's way of trying to control a situation. People fear speaking the truth because to do so puts them on the spot and they know not what will happen. It used to be said that people hide themselves behind a mask when they are out in public, but those days are long gone. People live in a suit of armor made of lies, lies to others and themselves. People lie to their family all the time. They do it more to them than people they don't know, why? Because people are afraid of what will happen if they speak the truth to someone they know. They find little reason to fear telling a stranger the truth because it is harder to conceive the dangers and repercussions of doing so. I implore you, all who read this, let go of your shield and free yourselves to the truth. Stop hiding and accept the consequences for any truth that you tell. If you fear what a friend might say, do not. A friend is one who expects the truth and when they here it they will never attack you for it. No matter how unfavorable the truth is they will accept it and stand by you. Please drop the facade and face the truth of the world and yourself.
