You and I are like the melody that the wind sings,
When I’m listening closely to your heartbeat.
It flickers and blows into my ears
With the subtle whispers of “I love you”.
You and I are like the harmony of the trees balancing,
When the back of your hand gently brushes my arm.
Their leaves take off with the wind,
In a dance proclaiming peace.
You and I are like the rhythm of the waves crashing to the shore,
When your lips leave moist traces upon my skin.
They toss and turn to comfort each other,
Much like the way you wipe my tears.
You and I are like the song of nature,
When we parade together in joyous matrimony.
It sings, it balances; it crashes all around us,
Letting us know we no longer need to fear of being alone.

Lie to me, convince me that I've been sick forever and all of this will make sense when I get better. ~Amy Lee
