online relationships can happen and can have a happy ending heart
Meeting your love on the internet CAN HAPPEN! Love can happen anywhere - as long as you're interacting with a person, love can happen. It doesn't matter if it happened through verbal communication, through letters, through phonecalls or through simple IMing. It doesn't matter what medium was used, it all matters on who is involved.
Online relationships are in no way below, or less than 'offline' relationships. Online relationships are simply called that way because the couple met on the internet - the same way long distance relationships are called that way because they are separated by a long distance. Calling your relationship an online relationships is nothing to be afraid of; in fact, I encourage it! Spread awareness of online relationships!
Please help break the stereotypes and stigma attached to online relationships by standing up for your relationship. Flaunt it, be proud of where you met! Don't ever hold it a secret from anyone - even from people whom you think will be totally against it. We will never get rid of this stigma so long as people are still afraid and hiding in the closet about where they met their partner. Tell the world where you met! Say it with PRIDE!
Online relationships involves real people, with real feelings. Don't let anyone ever tell you that you can not fall in love through the internet - or that somehow your relationship isn't real because you've never seen each other with your own eyes. Or that your partner is somehow scamming you, or lying to you, or handing out fake pictures - ALL BECAUSE THEY'RE USING THE INTERNET TO CONTACT YOU.
Liars will always be liars, be it online or offline. People lie while in online relationships as well as offline relationships. They are not different because they are using a different medium to communicate with each other.
Online relationships are real, and equal to offline relationships. Both can end up bad when someone decides to lie and scam you. This is why you act smart while in a relationship - be it online or offline.
Good luck to everyone who commented and is in an online relation themselves. Never let anyone think you're being stupid for being in an online relationship. And never let them say anything bad about your partner (ie; axe murderer, rapist, child molester etc) either!
