You stand there
your beauty flows from you
petals and cloths of red
but what if you pull away
the petals of beauty
the petals of red
what is left?
only a stem
left alone
cold
destroyed
the beauty that blinded the mind
closed the eyes
and speared the heart
is gone forever
like the petals that suround the sad stem
with its wilted bowing crown
the petals that suround it
reminding it of older times
a carpet of beauty
a carpet of red.
