This is regarding the item "Kraken Club" in Final Fantasy XI.
For those of you (most likely all of you) that don't know what this is, here is a picture:
This is, arguably, the MOST VALUABLE item in the game, excluding relic weapons.
Hell, it is the most valuable item on the Auction House, selling for an average of 27,137,500 gil apiece.
That is the equivalent of, well, let's say 55 ponies.
That is enough, in real life, to set you for the rest of your life and your childrens' lives. This is a VERY VALUABLE ITEM.
This is game-breaking. Here is a description of its utility, which I copied and pasted borrowed from the FFXIclopedia:

When Dark Knights use a Kraken Club and Souleater, they can cause massive damage. Every hit the club does takes 10% of your life. When having a WHM or Blood Weapon with Souleater, HP is returned. Souleater lasts 1 min, and with merits the recast timer can be below 5 mins. A Dark Knight can do around 12-15,000 damage every Souleater. This is arguably the best damage combo in the game. The drawback, however, is the monster will have VERY high TP gain, and give the Dark Knight ALOT of Enmity. Enmity can be lowered -10 with every Muted Soul merit, though.
Now that that's out of the way, here is the message I wish to present to you.
Should you come across a Kraken Club, do not EVER EVER EVER FOR NEVER EVER NEVER EVERdrop it.
If I got this item, I would level Dark Knight JUST so I could get the most out of this item.
{Souleater}{Blood Weapon}{Kraken Club} {Yes, please.}
It may seem obvious to make sure you hold on to your Kraken Club after you receive it.
But people do stupid things all the time. I'm always hearing stories about idiots that drop items like this.
You don't win a luxury mansion and then drop the keys to it at the Hobo Institute for Homelessness.
So please, if you ever obtain this item, keep it safe. You should, by all means, use it. Just don't get rid of it.
...Or, if you don't trust yourself with it, give it to me. I'll keep it safe for you.
