I'm in college and am working as a Office Assistant in one of the departments at school. This job only pays $7.25 per hour for 17 hours a week this summer. I need more money than that to survive because my parents cannot give me an allowance. I need money to pay for my extra-curricular activities like Judo and hanging out with friends.
That is why I applied to Papa Johns. Its a Pizza delivery place. I chose it because I thought I could make more money through tips, and because I like driving. But I did not have a cell number to include on the application because my mother could not pay the bill. Which is another reason why I need the money. I do pay for my own internet service though. I chose the internet over a cell phone. But stupid Papa Johns doesn't have an e-mail designation on their application form so I had to put my friends number. But when my mom finally did pay the phone bill, I told my associate that also works at the Papa Johns to tell the manager my number to tell me the status of my application. But I never got a word back at all and am to shame to ask my associate what's up.
So I went behind my Associate's back and applied at Pizza Hut. There was a sign announcing that they needed drivers and I applied. Thing is its been a few days and I don't know if I should call them or apply again somewhere else. Do business's not reply back to you when you apply for a job at their business? I am so frustrated. I am an awesome worker who gives everything her all. Hire me and you won't regret it, it will be the best choice you ever made.
