I took a 2 week long visit to Nippon (Japan) and I just came back the 15th. This trip was life-altering for me. A big factor is that I'm 1/4 Nihonjin (Japanese) so this trip was deeply special and meaningful to me, personally. I felt like I was visiting my home country for the first time, even though America is my technical home country. So...I got to experiance my other side. It felt so liberating and surreal. Something about Nippon lulls you in and you never want to leave that place. While I was there, I didn't feel like I was in any place on earth...just someplace different. It was so beautiful, and it immediately gave me this feeling of self-confidence and inner-achievement. I don't really know how else to describe my experiance, except that I feel changed and in a good way. Also, even though I'd never been there before, I felt a strange inkling of familiarity. Like...even though it was a foreign country, my being there felt so...natural. I felt like I fit in. It was a wonderful feeling. All I can say is that Nippon is a breath-taking country...and I want very much to return soon.~
