My first time training for Boxing.
When I was really interested in boxing, I just went for it. I noticed the big boxing tournament (city championships) was coming up. My coach had told me to run 4 miles a day, I didn't want to but I had to in able to become a successful boxer. When I ran 4 miles, my ribs are aching, I was out of breathe and I could even make it all the way to 4 miles.
The next few days, I started running more and more each day. Then about a few weeks later, I was able to run the 4 miles no problem. Lifting weights, leg weights, punching bag, and ab crunches. All harsh training that nobody can imagine.
A week before the tournament was about to begin. I ran outside the beach at 9pm since I live right next to it. There was a giant hill across the freeway, I ran across the freeway and ran up the hill. While listening to "Gonna Fly Now" which is the theme of Rocky. Once I reached the top of it, I screamed while listening to the Ocean roar. I raised my fist in the air and yelled I was ready.
My coach said I was ready for the City Championships and managed to succeed all the way through the tournament. Now I have to run every night, lift weights everyday, and do everything harder for the State Championships.
