Ok so imma write something a little more serious. Tell me what you think.
Deist: someone who believes in god Athiest: someone who does not believe in god
Perhaps God exists and watches over everything in the world every day. In fact, he's probably watching me write this now. Would it be logical to assume that he knows what my next sentence is before even I do? A person who worships omnipotence would argue that God knows everything: including our future...An athiest would argue: "If God is all-powerful, can God create a stone so large God himself cannot lift it?
Perhaps God does not exist and everything exists for no purpose and to fulfill no ends. Maybe we humans are born out of the dust of the earth and there we will return, to one end, just the inevitablilty of our death. A deist would argue that God would not leave his "children" to suffer in that way...An athiest would argue that's the only way.
Perhaps God created everythin, as ancienr scripture states. Maybe everything exists according to a plan set out by God to create everything. A deist would argur that that was the plan. An athiest would argue, "God could not create everything because he does not exist."
Perhaps God didn't create everything and is useless and might as well not exist. Once again, a deist would argue that as not possible because God would not exist for nothing. Ance again, an athiest would argue that whether God does anything is irrelevant because God does not exist.
Perhaps God exists...perhaps not. And if God exists, then by what means did God come to exist? By another God? Then where did that God come from and so on...and on...and on. Then was there a first God? A deist would argue no because God says he is timeless. And an athiest would argue that God is not timeless because God does not exist.
To Deists I pose the question, "How do you know God exists?" To Athiests I pose the question, "How do you know God does not exist?"
They both say to look at the facts and the facts point in every direction.
For example: "Is God omnipotent?" I would say nocbecause if God exists, then it is theoretically impossible for God to know everything. However, if God does not know everything, then how did he create everything? Because God is omnipotent. So it's not a question of whether God is all-powerful, but a question of whether the existence of God is fact or fiction. Because if God exists, then he is all-powerful and is God is not all-powerful, then he cannot exist.
To Deists I pose the question, "How do you know God exists?" To Athiests I pose the question, "How do you know God does not exist?"
And they both say the same things, over and over and over again...
