That's a somewhat valid response, but I still have to disagree. See, if everyone finds a way to communicate, what's selfish about that? I personally would like to learn other languages, but that's me. Also, there's not always time to do it. Selfishness is a perception that ties in with the time period and the circumstances. In this time, for example, everybody pretty much is selfish, us humans think we're the greatest things in the universe. I disagree, but that's just me, I'm not like everyone else, and I don't think I'm the only one.
You make a very good argument. With a very few people, not all of their actions are selfish. But, I can say that most of everyone who posts in this thread is extremely selfish. you, however, are not one of them.
So it turns out that I'm not a selfish person, I'd say yay, but it's Gaia.
