View User's Journal

I hope to write in this like an actually "Journal", but I know from past attempts it probably won't turn out that way. My life is just to typical. So, I'll post quite a bit of quotes. Mainly so I can re-read them, and commit them to memory.
Beauteous
Quote:
"The world is not beautiful: And that, in a way, lends it a sort of beauty.

This is from an Anime called Kino's Journey. I saw someone on the Forums with this quote as their signature. Just loved it! Though I admit, I've never seen the Anime, myself."

Quote:
"God is a comedian, playing to an audience too afraid to laugh."

Voltaire--not the musician, though he's epic, too. pirate

Quote:
"So we reach into the raging chaos, and we pluck some small glittering thing, and we cling to it, and tell ourselves it has meaning, and that the world is good, and we are not evil, and we will all go home in the end."

Quote:
"...what is our entire world to the stars above? What do they think of our tiny planet, I wondered, full of mad juxtaposition, happenstance, and endless struggle, and the deep crazed civilizations sprawled upon the face of it, and held together not by will or faith or communal ambition but by some dreamy capacity of the world's millions to be oblivious to life's tragedies and again and again sink into happiness...--as if happiness were as natural to all being as hunger or sleepiness or love of warmth and fear of the cold."

The last two were Anne Rice quotes, both fragments from the Tale of the Body Theif. Because I'm obsessed with her novels, and redface her "Lestat" character. xp
