Like a not so famous card said about black candles: "They truly represent my soul. Light springing from darkness, all too soon extinguished... and they are six for $1!"
While my collection of pillar candles I have from garage sales and rummage bins aren't all black, (in fact from the couple dozen I have only about 3 of them are) I still light them and turn off everything else to enjoy the feel they lend to my already dark room, curl up in bed and read horror or modern gothic, let the lights dance while me and my mates play D&D, wait out long power outages, and lend an air of romance when I do get a lady
just sets the right mood for so many times.. 3nodding
