Lovely Blizzard we had here in New York City... The snow is up to my knees.

My parents' cars are stuck and they haven't been able to go to work for the past two days. The cable hasn't worked since yesterday morning, so no tv or internet to keep me and my dad occupied (him moreso than me). Internet is still not up sweatdrop

Today me and my mom journeyed over to some local corner stores. It was actually quite pleasant, even with all the climbing over piles of snow. Only the major street and avenue have been cleared, naturally. The side streets are a big mess, touched only by the cars and pedestrians that dare to go through the snow. A lot of said cars get stuck. My own street hasn't been plowed since Sunday afternoon, when the snow was starting to get really bad. On the way home, I saw two plows going through the already-cleaned major avenue.
Two plows in a row, one plow right behind the other, cleaning a major street that was already cleaned, multiple times.
I praise you for your wonderful use of resources, Mayor Bloomberg and the NYC Sanitation Department. Simply efficient and economical, I'm sure rolleyes

[edit] Well, I guess I got what I asked for back in my "White Stuff" entry, in which I was pleased that there was a small flurry in December... sweatdrop
