I tried eating ice cream really fast. It didn't work.
I have an idea for a fanfiction. Would anyone who reads this tell me what you think?

The old clock chimed 9 times, signalling that it was 9 o'clock.
I raced along the dark streets, heart thumping wildly in my chest. Suddenly, I took a turn leading to an alleyway.
Running along for what seemed to be a million years, I finally came to a door. The paint was peeling off, the wood rotting, and the top lined with cobwebs. I pushed on the door, and it opened with a loud creak. Looking around, I ran through the door, not looking back.
My footsteps echoed through the empty hallway, which smelled of mildew and rotting flesh. Walking for a few more feet, the hallway branched off into 3 paths. I looked from side to side, and chose the left path.
Torchlight cast a dim glow on the dirty walls and floor. My eyes narrowed, trying to adjust to even this amount of light.
And then it was there.
The door at the end of the hallway seemed to beckon. It was old, as well, yet there seemed to be something emanating from it. I picked up my pace and opened the door....
I woke up to bright light and the sound of birds, confused from what just happened.
