Kittens are dumb
So my SO and I went to pick out a new car....rather, we intended to look and debate over a week or so, but we found our car. But that is not the point of this story. That is what we were doing when things were set in motion.

We get home and the vase that my new veiltail betta was in is knocked over and shattered over the carpet. Glass shards and water everywhere as well as one dried out fish. sad

We figure out that the whole thing was the kitten's (Banzai) fault, Mainly because Isis is senior and cannot be bothered to knock things over, even when she was young. So I am kinda pissed at him and want nothing to do with him.

Then my SO says, "Is he limping?"

So starts the effort to catch the bugger and check his leg. Now he doesn't want to come over cause he's afraid of being in trouble. Finally, we get him and sure enough, his hind right leg has a hole through the skin straight to the bone. I try to clean it, but he's wiggling and crying cause my cleaning it is hurting. We have nothing to cover the wound with (I lost the previous arguments to get gauze and vet wrap) so we take him to the ER vet.

He's fine now. He got 2 staples, the area cleaned and shaved, and a shot of antibiotics. Next Saturday, he is getting the stitches out and we're talking to our regular vet about when we should neuter him, so all is right with the world.

And my SO picked up the gauze and vet wrap. He now knows better than to nay say things when it comes to pet supplies. wink
