The End
So is this how it is done in our times?
Feelings spoken through words and rhymes?
But I was never one for rhymes
I've always preferred free-verse.
I suppose it's always how emotions were expressed
With cliched titles
And ******** up meanings
All pointing to the overall conclusion
This it it.
There's no more rope
I guess there never was any
Just a knife, stuck without hesitation
Into my back
Which you so easily
Twisted until there was no more blood
Just like the one
Who put it there
The one who you now hold hands with
After the lies you decided to vomit
In my direction
Talk is cheap
And so is love
But anger is not the way
To go off
No.
This was the solution from the start
So it seems.
It's what you've always wanted
And so you shall receive.
Perhaps it's what I always needed
The last kick through the door
"This is what's best
For me
For you
Or maybe just for me..."
I don't envy how you are now
Nor do I feel remorse
Just pity.
The light is brighter than it ever was before
The possibilities are endless
I don't need the beaches
Or the west coast
Or ideals known only to the faint of heart
Just this.
No, this is not an attack
This is closure.
An explanation.
A last hurrah.
If space is what was required
Then you shall have it indefinitely
Permanently.
No objection shall be given
There was never one to begin with

Or perhaps that was exactly what was wanted.
I don't think forgetfulness will be the case
Just acceptance.
"This isn't giving up, no this is letting go."
Happiness, that's all I wish

Love?
I don't know.
Was it ever? I don't know.
But maybe someday
With who?
I don't know
But this rant is growing stale
And my heart beating slower
