My Guilty Pleasure (poetry) Burning pit of endless despair The smile is gone, it's a scowl I wear Only guilt and pain your presence brings But I feel comfort betwixt your wings? While my blade should snicker snack It's my heart that goes pitter pat Despite the fire's calling hiss Why do I yearn for just one kiss? My weapon remains by my side While down my face tears do slide But did it require lives to take Just to forge a love, a mate?
