Today, my friend found a kitten. It was so cute but it was really skinny and malnourished. I skipped school to go take care of it. At first it was kind of fussy but after a while, it calmed down and started purring. I wanted to keep it but I already had a dog. I was going to hold it until someone had confirmation that they could keep it. I took it to my mom so we could take it somewhere because of my dog. We couldn't find somewhere so, we just took it to the humane society. On the way there, the kitten really got attached to me. It purred and slept and licked my hands. I really got my hopes up that I or someone else would be able to keep it so I could see it. It reminded me of someone very dear to me that I didn't get to see as much as I liked to. It's eyes were so clear and full of expression. However, when we got there and turned it over to them, they told me that they had to put it down because it was too young. I didn't want to make a scene so I just left but on the way home, when I was looking out the car window, All I could see was the rainclouds and the little kitten's eyes...
