Maria is a lycan originating in the Charcoal Forrest of Tyroxia (similar to our world's Russia, and most likely just south of the frozen wasteland of the Crown of the World in Golarion). She was born as a human in that world's late 16th century to Chekov and Minka Borris. Chekov was a large strong lumberjack, towering over most at 7 foot even. He shared his love of axe play with his only child, passing down his vast collection to Maria after he passed on. Minka, on the other hand, knew little to nothing about blades and kept her mind sharp by studying continuously. She was much shorter than her husband at only 5 foot 4 inches. While Maria wasn't off chopping down small trees with her father, Minka taught her the art of magic and healing as well as a near dead dialect of Common. Her childhood was truly entertaining to her, never lacking for a dull moment. With no siblings or cousins, she made the most of her time either in the forest playing or with her parents learning.
At the age of 13, Maria was sent to a church of Sarenrae to develop her talents for healing and divine magic. She spent seven years of intense study and practice, finding little to no time for social progress. Unfortunately, as she did not spend much time making friends, she stayed cold and confused many times in social situations. At the age of 20, after she had finished studying, she ventured out into the world and, through a series of events, met a man who would change her life forever.
His name was Okami. Okami Tsuki Moonfang. And he was on a journey of vengeance to find either his clan or their cause of their disappearance. The young man was a hot headed lycan with jet black fur and piercing red eyes. But something in the perpetual cold expression was begging for someone. And after years of traveling together, she decided to spend her life with him, no matter how short her human life was. He, however, had other plans. After the two had spent a good few years together, he requested her to make the change to live with him forever.
In current times, Maria has been living for over four centuries and had quite a multitude of children, repopulating Okami's entire clan, a fact that touches his heart, though he'd never admit it. The couple does find it difficult to adjust to modern society and have since moved from their home to the Blood Woods still in Tyroxia, but more to the South of the Charcoal Forest.
Appearance She has long blonde hair that is curled and worn in a cascading crown down to her mid back. She will wear various styles at different times of the year. Her eyes are a bright teal. She wears light makeup; lipstick and kohl liner smudged for shadow. Her clothing varies, but she tends to stick with form fitting garments and wears red, black, and gold the best.
