I will admit I am not s spring chicken, and as I am getting older all the things I knew when I was a little kid are just being thrown out the window. The reason I bring this up is because of what they are doing to school now and day's, I sat down with my nephew to help him with his homework from school, I found that it didn't really challenge him or make him use his brain.
It makes me sad seeing this, as a child going through school I was never bored, I was always more worried about my grades and trying to get them up. I hear my nephew every day tell me that the work for school is boring and he don't want to do it. I don't know what happened to the school system I grew up with, I will admit i could handle this problem better but ever since we came here to a new city my nephew hasn't been really liking going to school.
My nephew acts up at school and becomes angry because he finds the class bored, or what he is learning boring. My mother was even at he point where she dragged him out of school and is trying to get home school, because what he is learning now is not really doing anything for him.
I want to know your guys opinion on this common core thing going on
