I am sitting in my room,
Thinking last night's events through,
Was it true?
You say "love"
As if I knew...

I have never remembered love from a past life,
Never knew you were clinging to me,
But now I can see,
You weren't the only one scared.

You had heard my stories of hatred,
And didn't want to become one,
So you tried to reteach me love,
Teach me the meaning of fun.

I'm sorry if I dissapointed you,
But now that I think it all through,
I do understand thanks to you.

Love is giving you my wings-
and learning not miss them,
Trusted you to lift me on your own,
And I'd understand it all then.

Love is giving you,
The absolutepower to,
Destroy me painfully,
But trusting you not to.

I now understand why you stayed,
Why you stuck by me until the end,
I realize you love me,
And want me as more than a friend...
