As I listen to the thunder
And I feel the rain upon my skin
I try to forget
What caused this to begin

I try so hard to focus on the tiny p***k of light
But I'm drowning in my misery
And this isnt a fair fight.

My hearts been smashed to pieces
Its been broken and betrayed
And never once has someone I love
Ever tried to stay

I want you to be happy
And I want what's best for you
But I don't want you to leave me here
And know that we are through

I'm not okay with you leaving
But if you want to
Its for the best
God is sending me a sign
Or maybe its a test

I don't know how I'd make it
Through heartbreak once again
But I should have braced myself
When we started being more than friends

I'd follow you almost anywhere
So long as I had a plan
But I don't know how to get there
Or if I even can

These thoughts are paralyzing me
And I don't know how to breathe
I just keep thinking how sad and broken
I'll be if you leave me

I know we aren't together
But you're kind of all I've got
I've wanted you forver
I'd pick you without a thought

Maybe the fact that you're unsure
Means it isn't meant to be
I guess I'll see how this plays out
If you stay, or if you leave....
