Another day, another bundle of problems... |

*Sighs*
Where to begin?
Lemme see now, I woke up fine, went through my morning rythm (Shower, shave, breakfast, coffee, etc...), and made a phone call. The phonecall was to the people who were supposed to be fixing my bike. After finding out that the mechanic who was working on it wouldn't be in until after I started work, I just had to hope that it would be ready by the time I spent my last few dollars into town after work.....
But yeah, I managed to wrangle a lift from my flatmate into work, so that way I wouldn't have to walk, or spend my last few dollars now instead of later. I had almost forgotten how much being dirt broke sucks sweatdrop
But anyways, I got to work, and I was grateful that I wasn't on my own again today. So things ran pretty smoothly for me, getting back into my rythm of doing what I normally do on a monday. Which was good, seeing as how things are usually pretty quiet on a monday.
So the day passed quickly, and it was time to go home. But instead, I had to get a bus into town to go and see if my bike was all good to go. After getting there and waiting for like half an hour, I finally get to pick it up. But I'm told that I have o pay $75 upfront. Now, this is where things start to hit the fan for me.
a- It's a brand new bike, not even a month old. b- The manager tells me that because I was riding it when the part wore and broke, it was my fault, hence not covered by warranty. c- I debate with him about the fact that because it's only new, nothing should have gone wrong. d- Because something did go wrong, logic dictates a faulty part, which should be covered by warranty. e- And lastly, even if I was in a generous mood, I can't pay it off because I'm broke until thursday.
So, we had a heated dicussion (Not an arguement, a heated discussion) for about an hour or so, which ended up by me storming out of the place, still with no bike.
Anyways, I get home like 2 hours late after walking from town all the way back out to my place, with me in a severely bad mood.
So, after chilling out in front of the TV for a while, eating rice for dinner, the poor mans food (even poorer than noodles sweatdrop ), I e-mail the Office of Fair Trading, Queensland for their help in the matter. Hopefully, things will have resolved by tomorrow, and either I'll be without transportation until thursday, or I'll get my bike back tomorrow afternoon. Eitherway....I'm not a happy chappy stare
Cheers, Nebby
