a feeling has crept inside
despite all I do
to keep it away
to make sure it's locked away
and can no more trouble me
in this life
it has found the surface
once again
it's pulling at the chains
i've placed on myself
weakening my resolve
the strength caving in
I wish I could feel nothing
I wish I could let go
but I want that smile
I want that laugh
I want to give it all
I want her to know....
i gave up this life
when I tried one
too many times
I told myself to let go
I told myself to hold no hope
I let the power cave in
and I ripped apart
the heart underneath
but here it is again
coming to the surface
to never let me sleep
