Nosce Te Ipsum
In the state of nature...all men are born equal, but they cannot continue in this equality. Society makes them lose it, and they recover it only by the protection of the law.
Well, I guess I should introduce myself.

My name's Briareos Hecatonchires, or Bri for short.
I recently moved to Gaia from the city-state of Olympus, where I served as a police officer and S.W.A.T. operative.

As you can tell, I'm not like other Gaians. sweatdrop
A long time ago, I was a Special Forces soldier fighting insurgents in North Africa.
It was a pretty good gig, right until I was caught in a near fatal explosion during an ambush. xp
Well, it turned out that my military medical benefits were pretty damned awesome because when I finally woke up, I had been transferred into an advanced cyborg body with the new "Hecatonchires" operating system, (so called because of the octopus-like wiring in my brain case).
It's pretty spiffy. whee
I can operate almost 100 separate tasks with my OS and I'm alot taller, stronger and heavier ( gonk ) than before my injuries.
Incidentally, the only parts of me that uh, came with the original package are my central nervous system and memory.
It's not much, but it's just enough to let me believe that I'm still human. heart wink

Right now, I'm unemployed! sweatdrop
I'm shacked up in a basement studio apartment in Durem.
(Yeah, it was the only place I could afford that supports my weight!) redface
I fish to make ends meet.
It's pretty good cash, but it doesn't compare to police work.
God, I miss my job. crying

Anyhow, this journal is a chance for all of you to take part in my adventures in Gaia.
It's sure to be a hoot. rolleyes
Enjoy!
