Sometimes…

Sometimes you say you love me,

But I can't believe you because of the

Times that you've hurt me before

I wish I could make it better as a love of only lore

But you make that damn near impossible,

Because you doubt my love for you is real



I used to feel loved because I had someone to love,

Who would inevitably Love me as the trees love the dove.

I am now truly alone… alone like the leaves on the ground

During fall. I mourn for you as you would a puppy at the pound.

I would never hurt you… you know its true,

For all I'll ever want to do is love you…
