Source for today's words: Creativity Workout, by Edward De Bono
Okay, so today's words seem almost like a cheat: A fairy tale about a girl who uses her needle well, and then becomes queen.
Or maybe it's a fairy tale about a queen who uses her embroidery skills to save her kingdom, because of the tapestries she makes.
Or maybe the Queen tells her children fairy tales while she's embroidering things. I wonder what kind of stories she would tell them, and if they'd be any different than the stories that say, a peasant mother or grandmother would tell her children.
Though, fairy tales usually aren't about queens, but about princesses. Unless they're evil queens, like the evil queen in Snow white.
Ooo, so maybe the queen is the villain of the fairy tale, and the peasant girl or princess evades her efforts by using her really good sewing/embroidery skills?
Or maybe the heroine (princess?) inherited a magical needle from her mother, the former queen.
The evil queen could (instead of just coming out and doing Bad Things), just be constantly at the heroine with incessant, needling remarks about her behavior, appearance, deportment and so on.
Or maybe this is a fairy tale about a queen bee, and the "needle" is her stinger.
But I need to go do laundry, so I think that's enough for tonight.
