I twirled Pygmalion's chisel around my index finger
and turned my attention to David,
the Hebrew mudman made animate through my father's dying breath.
"It is incredible"

Victor's lab remained in perfect condition, fully prepared to
stew the ingredients for life and wonder.

David's unchanging expression offered no evidence of shared impress.

I wondered what cause had victor to keep the lab in such condition despite the harrowing events that marked his dissapearance in the Arctic, years earlier.

"Perhaps it was for Liz."

David stirred and lifted a model skull from a dusty table.

"No time for Shakespeare, David my boy, there is much to prepare. If we are to succede where all others have failed, we must make haste; the race for life has begun, and we are behind due to that nastly little business in the Orient. We shall have to see a man who knows about corpses."
