One night...a young boy had a very strange dream. It wasn't happy. It wasn't sad. It wasn't frightening. It was just a very strange dream...

The boy was walking down a line of light...it was a perfectly straight line of light. At the end of the light was a table, and two comfy little chairs. In one of the chairs sat a strange little girl. This girl had very long blonde hair and two antennas at the top of her head. The boy knew the strange girl, and he was happy to see her...even though he'd never seen her before in person.

The boy sat in the chair opposite to the strange girl, and they began to talk. The boy talked about his problems while the girl listened attentively, like she always has. He spoke about troubling parents, fears of leaving his home for college, and other things. When he finished, the strange girl talked about other things...strange things. Things like how dalmatians get their spots, and why slugs are slimy.

They talked for hours and hours, each revealing their secrets. But the boy remembered something...a promise he made to someone very special to him. He promised this person that he would watch what he said about what happened between the two of them...........and he kept that promise.

The strange girl was very pleased with him. He had passed the test. He had kept the things that were supposed to remain secret...a secret. If his friend were to have known this, she would have been very proud of him.

After the boy and the strange girl said their farewells, the girl muttered something in an unknown language...and the boy suddenly woke up. He remembered everything from the dream and he was excited to tell his friend about it...how he kept his promise.

He did well in passing the test...MY test.
