Well, I'm feeling better now, all thanks to a bit of talking and some peppy techno music.
Yesterday was the luncheon-thing for the library volunteers. I got there a bit late because I forgot it was at 11:30 and that was the time that I woke up... But, no one minded and I got a seat near all of my friends (Josh, Annie, and.... Shannon, I think her name was). There was a lot of food, but I mostly stuck to the sweets, which were all rather jungle themed, as was the entire room (which had palm trees galore, a giant inflatable monkey, little plush monkeys hanging fromt he ceiling that we could take, along with many little party favors scattered on the table). However, the part I liked the best was the handing out of the awards and the raffle.
Yes, I know, greedy, greedy, greedy.
All of the volunteers got a 15 dollar gift card to Harkins Theatres and, in the raffle, I won a ten dollar gift card to Starbucks. As much as I love coffee, I think I'm going to sell it to my father so I can help my manga collection along. I'll probably buy Tramps Like Us volume 8....
