One gets an eerie feeling in the silence. For when one hears sound, he knows of another's presence. But the silence can conceal anything. It can hide whatever it wishes. Yet, only in the silence, can one hear his own breath-and almost hear God's voice. The silence is a strange thing.
It is an odd sensation, walking through an empty home. It is almost like walking through a tomb, and one almost anticipates hearing voices call out to them. Everything is as it was-frozen in that moment of time, where life used to be. But yet-the life that was in the air quickly vanishes, once one's hand goes out to reach for it-to try and grasp all that is left. But it is almost frightening-walking through an empty home; one almost expects someone to come up from behind and-
