Heat & Eyes
I look into his eyes,
I feel cold, I am dead.
He smiles at me or so I hoped,
I see him look to my side,
all around, but not at me.
I stand in the dark, all alone,
light on everyside of me.
He calls my friends,
they hear a soft kind voice,
I look into his eyes; I hear nothing.
I start to feel warmth I start to smile.
I look back at my life,
all I see is pain, sorrow, and loneliness.
I feel the heat, getting warmer,
I see my past, I start to cry.
I look to him for comfort,
his gaze is clear and unwavering.
I close my eyes, I hang my head, it is over.
No more hope, Hell welcomes me,
"I did believe in you Dear God"
