*A Single Spotlight illuminates the center stage and you hear heavy footsteps on the plank wood floor**The Figure of a Short athletic man is illuminated slowly as he looks up toward you*
Greetings. Not to often will you find me here. I don't share my stories with people. Most of the time... I share my dreams. Why? *ponders for a moment* Well, I suppose its just the best way for me to understand them. And believe me when I say, some are a little much even for the insane and deranged. But I suppose there is no use just keeping them to myself. So without further adieu.
*The spotlight suddenly shuts with a clap as the shade snaps shut. You are left in the darkness, but for a moment*
"Laughing Man"
Screams pierced the night air. A chilled breeze presented itself and I was forced to pull my collar close to my chin. The unearthly screams echoed in my head, lingering only so long as to send chills down my spine. I hurried my steps as I continued to god knows where or why. All I knew is I wanted to be as far from that screaming as I could be.
Suddenly I found myself in a hallway. I had no recollection of the journey, but I was there. The walls seemed decayed as if the passage of time was especially cruel to whatever structure I now found myself within.
A Saddistic laugh, followed by a scream echoed throughout the corridors. It was much closer then before. I felt a tension in my chest that urged me to run, but the curiosity took hold and I moved forward. I entered a room, it was pristine completely unlike the building it dwelled in. The walls were white tiled, and the floor was mirrored. In the center of this room stood a man, and at his feet another mans body. He looked up at me, and to my astonishment, it was me.
He Began laughing and stalked towards me with great speed. Before I knew what was happening I lay before him slashed from stem to stern. As I lay bleeding, his face contorted and twisted into that of a demon, that is not the right word, but I cannot think of any other to describe him. He Began to laugh. Again it echoed throughout the building and the streets outside. I awoke gasping for air.
I wish I had the Literary talents to send chills down your spine. But I do not believe I do. Comments appreciated. Hopefully you enjoy the read.
