9/11 Free Verse Poem
By Garrick Kautz
The terrorists had thought they have won
And what they did was right
Little did they know they have lost
And now will face the full power of our might
The towers are no longer there
Where they stood lays bare
But liberty and justice still prevails
Thus the terrorists failed
They took over the planes with pocketknives
And then proceeded to control the flight
The innocent revolted, the terrorists failed
They took control, aimed the plane towards some trees
That was the end of Flight 93
On that day all flights where stopped
The Pentagon stood with its might
We wagged war, and stood right up
Others countries came, and justice prevailed
We have crippled our enemies
That is how it stands
Know that there is a bounty on their heads
Every day the fight goes on, but lets not forget that terrorism is real
Five years have passed since that awful day
Let’s not forget all those whom we lost
And stand up for our country’s pride
In the end the terrorists have lost
