So, here's the stuff that I got from this con holiday.
A print from Jen Quick, the author of Tokyopop's Off*Beat. She is a fantastic artist, I wish I could have bought a commission (my buddy Mikayla did and it came out awesomely).
An autographed Eyeshine cd and sticker (the band of Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice actor for Vash the Stampede and Kiba from Wolf's Rain, among other characters), and the first eight-or-so episodes of Virtua Fighter on VHS (dubbed).
Starting from the upper left corner and going clockwise, the books I bought were Bus Gamer by Kazuya Minekura, Death Note no. 6 by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, Tramps Like Us no. 9 by Yayoi Ogawa, D.N.Angel no. 1 by Yukiru Sugisaki, Saiyuki Reload no. 4 by Kazuya Minekura, an untranslated version of Fushigi Yugi: Genbu Kaiden no. 2, Antique Bakery no. 3 by Fumi Yoshinaga, and Same Cell Organism by Sumomo Yumeka. Whoo, I have some reading to do.
I also got a wonderful voicemail message (as in that is what greets a person when they reach my voicemail) done by Greg Ayres in the character of Son Goku from Saiyuki on my cell. Gah, he was so nice. ...I think I like him better than Vic. ><' He was really easy to talk to and even let us follow him around for a bit. He smelled just as good as Vic, though. What is it with male voice actors and smelling wonderful?
Can't wait until the con in January, Criiiiispiiiin Freeemaaaaaaan hogawd i'm betting he's gonna smell awesome and oh dear i'm going to get to hug him i'm going to take one hundred pictures and record him just to hear his magnificent voice so low and augh he's so damn pretty i'm going to get him to say something just for me. O_O
