In the spirit of boredom this afternoon my mother and i rented a horror movie on DVD but I'm wondering what is the point? They are never any good. Horro is my faveourite movie genre but they are never scary anymore, the last time i was genuinely scared by a horror movie i was nine and i think it was Salems Lot.
Soemthing else that really is the fact that no one can make a half decent original movie anymore, they always have to tamper with the classics and they are NEVER EVER as food as the original, The wicker man, the omen, the fog need i say more?
If horror movies are not to be lost in room 101 for eternity (quite an interestign analogy when you consider room 101 is where everyone meets their own worst nightmare) I think we need to take a leaf out of the italians/germans/japanese' book (although i also think it;s a teavesty that all the japanese movies are beign remade but lets not start on THAT), they rely more on basic visceral horrific themes rather than gory effects, They focus on instinctive fears (the experiment anyone?) and that my friends is how it should be. rant over

When i get a bee in my bonnet about something i just have to have a RANT because if i don't i tend ot take it out on my friends.
