The Commander
"Project: Commander" was the name of a ground-breaking new experiment in test tube soldiers, created for the simple purpose of leading other such soldiers into battle with finesse' and skill unseen in the usual batch. The idea that battle tactics could be implanted into the brain during birth by use of a microprocessor and programming chip was pioneered by a group of scientists over many years and many failures. The true success came with the idea that the entire brain itself had to be replaced by one that was pre-programmed. This took even more time as the operation itself was delicate, and the procedure taking a great number of years to finish.
With the first wave (around five) successful "Commanders" being created more testing, this time on the field rather than in controlled environments and simulators, was initiated. About ten years later the project was almost completely scrapped, were it not saved by a single successful subject which changed the entire perspective of the project itself.
Known as "Black Commander," the single Commander whom emerged led a great number of successful field tests included search and destroy missions, interrogations, negotiations, hostage rescue, and even assassination. Displaying all that the military whom was developing them wanted to see the project was continued...but not without a few minor kinks in the system. "Black Commander" was only successful because he was given, unlike other Commanders, free thought. His strategies developed not only by textbook method but also common sense and free will of the mind. This had a drawback, as "Black Commander" became aware of himself. In the end he escaped, taking the lives of his entire squad as well as those assigned against him.
In the following years the entire project was scrapped permanently, but not by the group whom developed it. "Black Commander," going now under the alias "Commander Kaufman," destroyed, little by little, the entire project's works and files. Those that remained were on the single Commander himself...

Technical Breakdown: "Black Commander" is the first of the "Commander" Project to use FTBT. This allows for a more human-like reaction to battle paired with a superior tactical knowledge. With the usual upgrades to the "Commander" project, "Black Commander" also exhibits a stunning ability to learn rapidly. Noteably his "Presence" ability, which allows him to become a greater influence upon his troops whether test tube or otherwise, which is astoundingly high compared to the usual Commanders. "Black Commander" seems to be more aware of himself, however, and this has given some silent worries to the scientific team. All-in-all, however, "Black Commander" is an utter success, scoring a 90-97% approval rate on all field tests.
