The mirrors are lying to me again...

Staring out at the world through the glass,
'Til you notice that you can't breathe.
Pink haze and blackness distort my face,
As we're dying, decaying, still hopelessly feigning life.

Smile the smile you practiced so much,
The mirror lied, the mirror lied:
Everyone can tell it's fake.

Didn't anyone tell you: the soot never washes off.
