This is a completely new idea of mine that involves playing board games in these forums across the interent. WHOO-HOO! GOLD! *Ahem* It is a tentitive development (in other words, might be deleted due to failure), and as such expect bugs to be worked out. The only game i can think of to play online right now is checkers. the board looks like this (online that is):

- = empty space you can move on

I know some of the lines aren't quite even, but theyll have to do. I am open to any suggestions for other games. If you wish to submit a game (you will recieve credit), please P.M., and ill either add it to this thread, or make a new one. however, please remember that these games were kinda my idea, so i want to make the threads, please. If you wish to submit a game (including made-up ones) please include:

Board picture, like above checkers board

Rules, including how many players, winning requirements, moves, objective, etc.

Describe how moves will be done

Length of time between moves until forfeit

Any other information needed

Now i will describe rules for checkers:

Assuming you know the objective of the game and movement:

Movement: announce which piece (i.e. row 1, space 3), and which direction you are moving it (down-right, down-left, up-right, up-left), and make the board showing the board after the move. Other player does the same thing.

winning conditions: all opponents pieces are captured, other player forfeits, referee stops the game, timed out

Timed Out: A player times out if he does not make a move within 3 days (72 hours)

The referee (that is me or monopoly) can call off a game at any time. A referee may give their power to another guild member if that person is responsible. Two referees cannot be in a game together. A referee is in full power, however, if that power is misused, that ref. can be kicked out of power by guild vote, under reasonable offences, and be forced to hand over power to another guild member.

Forfeit: A player can forfeit a game at any time. This ends the game and the forfeited player looses.

Per thread, only 1 GAME can happen at one time. Conversations may take place between the players and referees ONLY. NO SPECTATOR COMMENTS ALLOWED!

In order to challenge a player, you must post on the "challenge thread" of the game you wish to challenge that person to. If they accept, you must notify a referee of the game before beginning the game. When the ref. gives you permission to use a game thread, you must begin your game immediately (within 2day), or your game will be cancelled. IF YOU DO NOT NOTIFY A REFEREE BEFORE BEGINNING A GAME, THE GAME WILL BE ENDED AND YOU MAY BE BANNED FROM THE GAME FORUMS!

Also, if you wish to display captured pieces in a game of checkers, next to yourside of the field (starting position, top or bottom), place a - for each captured piece.

Also, a "scoreboard" will be started if the game forums suceded. These boards will have a seperate thread for each game, and i will update it as i get game results. After a game, please notify a me of the results so i can post them.
